Garden in the city

My family and I live in a small row home in the city of Philadelphia. We are about 2 miles from downtown. We don’t have a backyard, but we find little treasures of green space near us sometimes.
A block and a half away, in an interesting spot, lies an amazing garden. It is not labelled, is not blocked off from the street or fenced in. It has everything from amazing succulents to edibles and flowers. I know very little about these green things, but I was fascinated by the peppers, tomatoes and chard that are growing amongst such a stinky, dirty block! And it is a mayhem garden. It’s obvious the gardener knows what he or she is doing, but they aren’t crazy about keeping it pruned or tidy. Magic mystery garden!!!
